Service Learning Projects implemented within KTU Lithuania.

The aim of the project is to share the students' experience and knowledge about effective ways of learning among different age groups of pupils. Using online platforms students prepare an interactive workshop about the ways and tools of learning for different types of personalities.  Students have the opportunity to disseminate their personal experiences with practical learning examples, tips and active discussions.

The aim of the project is to participate in volunteer programmes implemented by Kaunas non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and to encourage others to contribute to volunteering by solving community problems.

The project includes practical and educational activities: volunteering in a selected organization, seminars, group meetings of volunteers, individual consultations. Students help to prepare and conduct seminars for community groups in Kaunas region on youth employment, entrepreneurship and digital literacy education, civic and social competence development, share experiences, evaluate activities curated and carried out by NGOs, coordinate information dissemination on social networks, encourage young people to get involved in volunteers activities.

These activities contribute to enhancing the competences of young people in Kaunas region, and to the dissemination of volunteering ideas and activities.

The aim of the project is to assess the situation of equality between women and men in the workplace and to identify areas where equality measures between women and men should be applied.

Students participate in trainings and discussions together with managers and specialists of private and public companies, and representatives of NGOs. They analyze the situation of equality between women and men in the workplace, discuss the measures of the plan for equality between women and men in the fields of: recruitment, work organization and staffing, education and training, career and rotation, ensuring the prevention of sexual harassment, and etc. Students as future employees and employers analyze the situation in companies, make suggestions for the implementation and evaluation of the measures of the plan for equality between women and men, and collect good examples from Lithuanian companies.

These activities contribute to the promotion of gender equality on the labour market and in the workplace, and to the dissemination of practices to ensure equality between women and men in Lithuania.
